Trekking Permit:

Trekking permit is not essential for the general trekking areas such as the Everest, the Annapurna, the Langtang and Rara. However, a trekking permit is must to visit restricted areas mentioned below. 

The following restricted areas are open only for group trekkers and a trekking permit will not be issued to individual trekkers for such areas. The areas and required fees are as follows:

c) Sankhuwasabha District (Makalu Region):-Areas of Kimathanka, Chepuwa, Hatiya and Pawakhola Village Development Committee. US$ 10.00 per person/week for first 4 weeks.
US$ 20.00 per person/week after 4 weeks.
d) Solukhumbu District (Everest Region):- All north-west area way from Thame to Nangpala of Namche Village Development Committee.  US$ 10.00 per person/week for first 4 weeks.
US$ 20.00 per person/week after 4 weeks.
e) Rasuwa District:-Thamun and Tingure  US$ 10.00 per person/week
f) Manang District:- Areas of Nar, Phu, and Northern area of Tilche Village of Thochhe Village Development Committee. US$ 90 Per Person Per Week for the period of Sep. to Nov.
US$ 70 Per Person Per Week for the period of Dec. to Aug.
g) Mugu District:- Areas of Mugu, Dolpu, Pulu and Bhangri. US$ 90 Per Person for first 7 days
US$ 15 Per Person per day.
h) Baihang District:-Areas of Kanda, Saipal, Dhuli. US$ 90 Per Person for first 7 days
US$ 15 Per Person per day.
i) Darchula District:- Areas of Byas Village Development Committee.   US$ 90 Per Person for first 7 days
US$ 15 Per Person per day.
j) Humla District:- Areas of Limi and Muchu village village Development Committee, and area way to Tibet via Tangekhola of Darma Village Development committee. US$ 90 Per Person for first 7 days
US$ 15 Per Person per day.
k) Around Manasulu US$ 90.00 per person per week during Sep. to Nov.
US$ 75.00 per person per week during Dec. to Aug.
l) Humla-Simikot US$ 90.00 per person per week for first 7 days.
US$ 15.00 per person per day after 7 days.
m) Upper Mustang and Upper Dolpo US$ 700.00 per person for first 10 days.
US$ 70.00 per person after 10 days.

Note: To get a group trekking permit an application form should be submitted through any registered trekking agency of Nepal.

Miscellaneous Fees
a. Travel document (in case of loss/damage/theft/or expiry of the passport)-US$ 20 
b. Issuance of Entry Visa from the Dept.-25% additional fee along with regular entry visa fee.
c. Certification of Arrival or Departure stamps or replacement of trekking permit US$ 1 (one). 

Note: Trekking to Dolpo, Kanchenjunga, Makalu and upper Mustang can be undertaken through registered trekking company only. For trekking through National park areas require an entry permits. The entrance permits are as follow for the following National parks and Conservation Areas:

Annapurna Conservation Area Rs. 2000.00 per person
Makalu Barun Conservation Area Rs. 2000.00 per person
Manasulu Conservation Area Rs. 2000.00 per person
Langtang National Park  Rs. 1000.00 per person
Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park  Rs. 1000.00 per person
Rara National Park Rs. 1000.00 per person
Shey Phoksundo National Park  Rs. 1000.00 per person

Other then above mentioned National parks such as Royal Chitwan National Park, Bardia National Park also need entrance permits Rs. 1000.00 per person.
