FAR WESTERN NEPAL

Remoteness and least developed area Dolpo and Rara Lake area, generally, foreigners do not often visit this part of Nepal. In spite of difficulties, the rewards are many: majestic wood, vegetation, interesting inhabitation and Himalayan scenery. Accommodation and foods are often difficult to obtain in the region. So those venturing there must be entirely self-sufficient. To reach the west of Kaligandaki valley, either take about 4 hours bus drive from Pokhara to Baglung and trek through Dhorpatan and Dolpo or fly to Jumla or Dunai from Kathmandu via Nepalgunj.
